Problem is Jegs (or anyone else I can find) does not carry the main thing I'm after, a DUI distributor for my boat...

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/DUI-M12720BL/

kind of a captive audience...

Thanks for all the input guys.

Sam, I have a few friends running the DUI in their boats and they have nothing but good to say about them. I'm running (for now) a bone stock 270hp/350 in my 73 Ski Nautique. The engine tech manual only calls for 4,000 R's at WOT (I thought was a bit low). I looked at the MSD, but couldnt see any big advantage, plus it is about a hundred bucks more and I still need to buy a coil.

What you running in your car? what kind of modifications?

I was running a 383 Chevy small block. It made 505 HP and 510 FT LBs on the dyno. Had a 6500 PRM chip in it. When we ran the DUI on the Dyno we had to rebuild the advance, just junk. It was all over the lot. MSD also has a very good HEI setup. The engine was in an Ex PRO Tour truck that I used to road race. It would spank a Porsche GT3 Cup car or a Ferrari Challenge car without much trouble.

Pic is of a couple of us at a track day at Watkins Glen a couple years ago.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
