The right decal on my 1782 was like that, and ended up coming all the way off on the way home. Since I didn't really want to put new decals on it, I just re-stuck it with super glue. I can take the super glue off with sand paper, when I'm ready for new decals.

I'd try some contact cement. They make it in little jars with a brush so you can accuratly apply it. Just be sure to apply to both surfaces, not to glob it and let it dry before pushing the decal ot the hood. I'd use some blue masking tape to hold it place until it cures out.

Clean up the decal and hood surfaces and use double sided tape. Trim any excess tape away after the decal is back in place.

I started trying to get the old, dirty glue off the hood this morning with some paint thiner. It did not seem to be cutting it off very well so I tried some Goof-off. That stuff really ate the glue off but after a few seconds it started eating into the plastic hood. I made the mistake of setting the can on top of the hood and got a ring ate into the hood. Also any attempt to clean the back side of the decal removed the color along with the glue. I ended up cutting the damaged part off with a utility knife. I may paint something on there later. THanks

Heat gun to remove the old decal and some prep sol to get the adhesive off. The Cyclops plastic is just a bit fragile. New decals and your all good but you know that already.
