Okay I am trying to load my 1450 into my minivan. Ramps all set up perfect but I am having a problem with the steering wheel... Its 2" too high ! I tried removing it with previous threads. No luck with the split block. I tried to flatten the front tires, but they are hard and tubeless so that didnt help much. Any easy ideas here? I just need to lower it about 2-3". I am soo close. Thanks!

need some pictures of where it's hitting when your trying to load. How thick are the ramps? Can you lower the ramps to gain some room? Like I said pics would help.

I've only got one picture I took last night while trying to load her up. Not the best, its just the very top of the steering wheel that isn't clearing. My ramps are just car ramps with 2x8's layed on top of them. THEY WORK GREAT! I was hoping it would be super easy to load and unload... But the steering wheel... Only if it came off and on easy! If I do get it off, would it get stuck on there again? Thanks, all for the help!

This is what I did... I took a set of old rims without tires.... Put those on and drove it right in. I think I still need something more practical so I can transport this machine easily.

i would suggest a small trailer fitted to your needs so your van will tow it with no trouble...because if you think about it, you got a wrecking ball parked behind you if you get into an accident....that cub is going to fly forward...and it won't end well for whoever is driving and whoever is in the passenger seat....if you have a trailer...at least you have the entire back half of the vehicle to block it.
thats only IF you ever get into an accident..which i hope you never will...but just something to think about. nice 1450 by the way. |

I had two of the auto ramps jammed under the tires. I did a break check it didn't budge. But yes the thought of a accident worried me, so I waited till there wasn't much traffic and took the highway. I love my 1450 it did such a great job moving 30+ yards of compost at the nursery. Next time I bring it, Ill have the tiller on! I will post some videos of the job soon.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
