Can anyone tell me what should be holding these support arms the front has hitch pins through the tensioner but he has the back bolted? I have seen some in older posts that looked like it was a sleeve in between with a bolt through it. Any hints or pics would help? Thanks Sam

Sam, the missing long bolt attaches the belt cover for the gear box to tiller pulley.

ok thank you thought it was a sleeve in between. I will replace the bolts with 1 long one. Will make it easier to install the guard too. Thanks very much!

I think it's a spacer with the bolt going thru it now that I think about it. Your welcome!

I'm not sure of your question but hope this helps:
There is a bolt and spacer missing on the belt tensioner. You aren't showing the pulleys from the back of the tractor. It may be missing. You also need the lift for the chain. It looks the shaft is there. Hope this helps. Edit: "pulleys from the back of the tractor" means gear box. The "lift" means the 3 pt. I get it now that you wondered about the spacer. It needs the spacer to keep from collapsing. Tisk, Tisk, I couldn't even come up with "gear box" for the post 'cause I was hot and exhausted. Hope the pic helped.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
