I attended an antique tractor plow day yesterday with my wife and dad near Blissfield (MI.) This was an event for full size tractors, but not large ones. I'm talking no plows bigger than a 5 bottom; 2-3 were common. It is a rather large event and is growing every year. The ground is clay, but finally got wet this past week, but not so wet it created too much of a mess.
Horse teams were invited, but only 2-3 of them did any work. ![]() On to the tractors! ![]() Not sure of exact amounts, but the ground that the guy available got plowed up in a hurry with the amount of machinery there was there. Not too much of this. ![]() The 'ole diesel got to smokin' when it started struggling. This guy knows how to plow. It was fun to watch him turn corners "digital" instead of "analog." ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This guy thought it would be neat to have a 4 bottom plow. The second plow worked great! ![]() This guy kept stinking up the show too. ![]() Overall, it was fun. We didn't bring anything ourselves to plow with; it was more fun to watch. I obviously kept the pics IH biased, unless I saw something less than ideal from someone else. ![]() As far as Cadets go, there were only two. An original from a buddy of my brothers (not plowing) as well as a 123 with a rear seat added behind the operators seat. (forgot to take pics!!) Thanks

I was debating about taking the C's picture that close- thought the guy might holler at me for doing it, but then I said I don't care and did it anyway. ![]() As far as bigger toys go, I can relate to that. I've wanted an M for a long time just to screw around with and saturday made me wish I had a big truck, big trailer, M and a plow to just take places and to have fun with. Try explaining that to my wife who thinks an M is too large for a suburban area with the closest rural field at least 10 miles away. (but my next door neighbor has a Ford 800.)

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
