k241 knock?????
Ok just recently picked up a cub 107 with a k241 kohler I have a knocking sound but here's the problem we pulled the motor and everythingseemed ok no excessivewear no chunks it looked really good as well as the piston does not have any slop or ovaling in the cylinder put it all back together and still knocks but it doesn't get worse or better at throttle changes I removed the clutch for the mower deck because had some people tell me they where notories for making. Knok still no fix what could it be I don't had to rebuild the motor if it doesn't require it "if it ain't broke don't fix it" just at a head scratching point and just plan lost HELP

 It could possibly be the front PTO making the knocking noise. My 100 does that and it's the front PTO.

Or it could be the crank bearing, and why I say that is the 241 in my Dad's 102 sounded just like you described and that's what was wrong with ours but that was 15 years ago and I don't remember all the details. Hope that helps!
