Default Pincor Alternator

I found a Pincor Alternator (what I always called a generator) for Cub Cadets. It didn't come with any manuals. I found a manual online, but it says there is a manual specific to the application. I think the manual I have will tell me enough to use it, but I don't know what the Cub Cadet specific manual has in it, but it would be nice to have.

The man I bought it from had a 1440, so I assume the Pincor was from a similar time frame (1990's.) Its a model GBIH-45H5, 4500 Watts.

Anyone else have one? Does anyone use it? I have not had any problems with power outages. I'm thinking I could use it to run AC power tools in the woods, but when do I really need that? Maybe I'll use the alternator to run my battery charger to charge my tractor battery! Rube Goldberg!

This thing is heavy! It fits nicely on my 86, too bad the 86 doesn't run, yet.

I need to pull it off again to move the pulley to align with the PTO. Its a simple setup, though.

Any hints to better install and uninstall the Pincor? I used some wood under it to get it close, then muscled it on.

My garage is getting full, with three Cubs and two other tractors. Its a two bay-no car garage.

Sweet Pincor! Looks like it's hard on the back too.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
