Default Picked this up with the 782

This is what I picked up along with the 782. Bought it for the PTO, mule drive and deck for my other 317. Just got done power washing it and pulled the engine out of it. It had a K17 series 1 in it. Not sure if the engine is bad or not. It will turn over by hand. Yeah I know it's Green but I just want to end up with a working mower that I can send down the road. Haven't decided if I'm going to part it or just sell it as a roller. Looks like a very savable tractor so far. Anyway the guy I got this from had the 782 that Duke ended up with along with 3 Supers, one is a Yellow & White 982 with PS and a couple other Cubs. One is a later 782 roller.

It's stored in the Cub Den waiting till your pockets get refilled. LOL

Not sure I can bring myself to part it out. Just what I need another project.

Umm you might want to figure out a different plan if your waiting on me. Adam's lovely wife won't let me store any more tractors at her place. What's a couple of cubs to store for a friend.

Your just the man to save that 317!

Todd

I don't think he has any plans to sell the 982. I will tell you with the AG's and wheel weights on it that towing the dead 317 and 782 was no problem for it.

I can't list this for sale in the for sale section because it's not a Cub but it is for sale

It doesn't look to bad!
I just helped my buddy with his 74 110 JD pulling the trans out to put other axles in it so he can go to plow days with it and hook up to my dead sled!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
