Default Wheel Weights

Will just about any wheel weights work?

I keep seeing Crapsman ones, the kind with two bolts, on craigslist and I'm thinking of snagging a set for plowing season. Anyone vouch for that?

Just about any for a 12 ft wheel should work. Be sure to get ones with a cutout for the valve stem if your valve stem is on the outside

I like the sears wheel weights they are $50 a pair and 9 lbs heavier each.

I like the sears weights too, I have 4 sets of them,I also like the bolens weights because they are nice and heavy and fit down inside the wheel. If you keep looking you can get a deal eventually, I've got all my weights ( including my IH ones) for about $25 each.

I have to agree with the Bolens. They fit great and weigh a lot. Look cool when they're painted too.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
