OK,
So I need a bit of help here before I go nuts trying to put something together for this. I have the blade I was using on my 1210 (manual lift). I am going to have someone fabricate a lift bracket (hydro lift) for the blade and I need to get some measurements. I'm looking at where it mounts up and the height indicator is installed (see pic below). I'm assuming I need to remove this, but I'm not sure how (does it just pop off?). It looks to have a grease fitting in the center as well. Also, anyone have an image of theirs mounted up so I can look at the bracket? Does anyone have measurements for something like this? I have an image of one below that someone else has made. What are the two bolts for? Will I see their purpose after I get the height indicator off? I'm trying to see how precise I need to make any holes that will be required. Any help is appreciated. Gotta get this done before we get any significant snow! ![]() Bracket that someone else made. ![]() 1641 Mount Area. ![]() My Blade. ![]() My Blade Again.

Remove # 2 from # 1 and replace it with # 15. Put the two # 16 bolts through the holes and put the nuts on and tighten then install the lift rod for the plow.

I'm not sure how the height indicator comes off, but the shaft under it has two holes that the bolts go through. Xtreammotorworks makes that part, but if you have someone to make it I'm sure it would be a lot cheaper.

Ben
The one Xtreme has is for the snow blower and what Clyde needs is NLA. Chris Westfall had one a couple months ago when I was at his place. He offered it to me but I had no need for it. Can't say for sure but my guess is you remove the grease fitting and the indicator probably comes off.

The snow plow one is shorter and mounts upside down from the blower part. I’m sure I could make the one Xtreme sells with a little time and my welder.

Ok thanks for your help. I was just concerned about that indicator. Didnt want to break it! But I got it off just by sliding it off. I see now exactly what the purpose of everything I mentioned is.
So, I'm trying to line up the lift rod from the 1210 mounting package to get some measurements and I feel like its falling short of where it needs to be. Also I'm assuming it has to run beneath the foot board, right? It also seems like with just that bracket installed the lift lever will have the opposite affect on the hight adjustment (down is up and up is down) is that accurate? ![]() ![]() ![]()

The lift rod runs above the foot pad, same as it did on your 1210. The bracket that you need basically replaces the lift handle from your 1210.

So the bracket has to be that short to fit under the height indicator? I do t feel like those ones above would work from the photos I've seen. The only thing I saw was a blower mounted and it was below the foot board.
The parts diagram looks like it mounts upward like you're saying, but for some reason I just imagine these aftermarket brackets being too long for that. So I think I need to go out and get a new lift rod (make one) and figure out the dimensions for this bracket to fit up there.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
