New to Cub Cadet
Hi! My name is Rob. I just recently bought my first Cub Cadet. It's a 1965 model 71 in excellent shape to be as old as it is. I've wanted to get into pulling for years and really like the way the Cub Cadets looked. The more I studied them, the more I fell in love with them. I'm just curious why I don't see many of the 71 models. I know they only made them for 2 years (65-67) and they were originally built to replace the model 70. I've decided the tractor is in too good of shape to make a puller out of it, so I want to restore it instead. I'll gladly take any advice anyone has. I'm attaching pics and I'm curious what other people think of it.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens.
