Could someone clarify why this is the case, because the belt chart linked from the technical library specifies IH-473462-R4. Is the belt chart wrong?
Belt chart: http://onlycubcadets.net/forum/showthread.php?t=4633 I looked it up on cubcadet.com and it does comes up with 490489-R2. I selected model 125, attachments, 38", 42" 3 Spindle Mower Hitch, Quick Attachment 38 42 48 Blade SN 218,010 to 400,000. |

The belt chart does appear to be wrong, because I just received a 490489-R2 80" belt from Cub Cadet and it fits my 125 with 42" deck perfectly.
Does anyone know how to contact the maintainer of the belt chart to get an explanation as to why it is the way it is? And what other errors may be in this belt chart? |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
