Default Oscar Will Book

I would like to purchase the Oscar Will book that contains serial number vs. year information for the 82 series. I found one book by Mr. Will on Amazon entitled "Garden Tractors: Deere,Cub Cadet, Wheel Horse and all the rest, 1930's to current". Comments from purchasers made me think there might be another book by Will that I should be looking for instead. Can anyone set me straight on this? Thanks!

His latest book is "50 years of Cub Cadets". It is all Cub from the original to current models. It is a great read and contains much valuable info on each tractor that IH and CCC/MTD made to include standard and optional equipment. A chart at the back tells you not only the year but even the month of IH cub production. It does have a yearly listing of CCC/MTD models. I believe mine came from Barnes and Knoble.

For others who might like to purchase this book-I could not find it on Amazon or Barnes and Noble, but Green Magazine.com has it for $19.00.

Kinda funny but Green mag is where I bought mine as well. Priced nicely. Too bad the best price was from the Green mag (hold on, good for me, bad for Green mag.....).

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
