Cub cadet 1864 drive shaft
I am working on a Cub Cadet 1864. The front seal on the input shaft to the hydraulic pump is leaking. My problem is how do I remove the drive shaft?
Do I have to remove the drive shaft from the engine or just at the pump or both? How does this shaft come apart? Brian

Remove the four bolts #7 that go through the fan, CV joint and pump adapter. Then remove the bolt that holds the pump adapter on the shaft #11 and the adapter should slide off the shaft.

Hey thanks! I got the drive shaft out and the new seal installed. The drive shaft is also back in place.
I pressure washed tons of oil and dirt out of the 1864. It was a mess before I started work on it. Brian
