Ross steering unit
I decided to pull the steering box apart from my 100 that Ive got stripped down. I am not sure if the unit is original to the 100. The tube is black, and it looks to have a factory installed ball bearing very similar to the upgrade that is frequently discussed on this site, as well as a formed steel cup to cover/hold the bearing in place. My question is if Ross offered units with the bearing instslled, and second, would it have been available in a 100? The unit is a Ross S102007.

I've never heard of a factory upgrade... Pretty-much sounds like someone has been there before.

In the middle of a complete restoration I'm beginning to realize that 40 years is a lot of time, and that a lot of people have had their hands on the tractor I'm working on.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
