PTO Clutch brake lining material
I'm helping a neighbor work on a 169 with the PTO Clutch with brake. The brake shoe lining material is worn away and rather than spend $70 on a new shoe with lining (IH-59973-C1) I want to get some brake/clutch lining sheets from McMaster-Carr. They sell Low, Medium, and High friction sheets from 1/8" up to 3/4" thick. I'll take a chance and get a Medium friction sheet (unless someone knows better) but what thickness is supposed to be on these brake shoes? I plan to use Liquid Nails construction adhesive to hold the lining material to the brake shoe.

Matt G's write up in the tech section deals with rear brakes. I'm working on the front PTO pulley, and the later version of it which has the brake shoe and pad instead of the fiber button.
