Thinking of parting my 1210
My 1210 needs engine work, wiring, and driveshaft work plus the normal snugging of steering etc.
Due to health issues unforseen when I bought it, it looks like I will never be able to do the work. So, tho I hate to parts out a 99% complete tractor, it may be my best option. I can use carb, oil pan and misc other pieces on my 1450. Now my questions: Would the front axle be a direct fit onto my 109. If I'm right it has larger spindles, or would that require mods---which I am loath to make to my 109. Now, the hydro unit and rear diff work really well, have no leaks, cracks or breaks. It is the aluminum set up. What kind of $$$ value would that have???

Per the Cub parts site both the 109 and 1210 use the same front axle part number 759-3270. I think it is only the spindles that are different. Rear end with pump I'm guessing around $150.00

So would it be a smart idea to swap the spindles?? Considering a use a fairly hefty front 48" snow blade.
And thanks, I had no clue on the transaxle value.

I think you can just swap the spindles and wheels from the 1210 to the 109 without swapping the axle. The 1210 should have 1" axles at least the 1210 I used to own did. Get the two of them side by side and take a look.
