I am wanting to know if I remove this plate and attach the hitch plate directly to the rear end (i believe the hole patterns are the same) if that would cause any issues or do i need to just leave things the way they are? the reason I am asking this, it's because I want to build a category 0 3 point hitch. The current hitch design doesnt thrill me but attaching part of my 3 point hitch to the aluminum rear end, has me a little concerned. Any thoughts?

The CAT 0 connects to a lot more than just the 3 bolts.

If you build your own Cat 0 you really need to look at how the original ones attach. Attaching it to the rear end via the bolts that hold the rear cover on is asking for disaster.

The 1864 hitch plate (Draw bar) uses 5 bolts, not 3. I was trying to get something across and used too much info. I dont plan to bolt the entire 3pt to the draw bar....
I took this picture last night with my bagger tree on, not a good pic, but it shows the main plate im referring to. CADplans do you have a few pictures of how the bottom lift arms bolt to the tractor?

They attach to a bracket that uses the 3 lower axle tube bolts.
