Key switch replacement.
I have a 782 that the PO had wired in a four terminal ignition switch, from who knows where. He cut the plug off to put crimp on ends to wire it. I bought the correct switch from CC and found a plug from another parts tractor that fits, but the wires are the wrong color on the plug. I have looked at the wiring diagrams and I can trace the wires to see where they go but I cant tell which wire goes to which terminal on the switch. On the wiring diagram the terminals are labeled "S, B, I, L, & R" but on my switch the terminals are stamped "S, A, M, G and nothing on the last one. I don't want to wire it wrong and mess something up. The chassis serial number is #2050594U690312.

I looked up the switch again.... Something is weird in the parts book too. If you look the switch up for the older serial number tractors, it is listed as a just a switch. But if you look it up under the newer tractor serial numbers, it is listed as a "switch for magneto ignition" They both have the same part number. That is why I thought it to be the incorrect one. However, it must be right, because the 1811 carries a different part number. Sorry about the confusion.

Ok, I checked the markings again and I was right the first time but it never hurts to check. I drew a quick picture to show the position of the terminals and the markings. I know a lot about wiring and how things work but I also know if something comes up that I'm not sure of it is best ask. The old switch had no markings and was made in china so it didn't help. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Oh, and I forgot. My Cub has the KT17.

Did this new switch come in a box or plastic bag, that had the Cub Cadet logo(s) and part number printed on it...????
