Default Here we go again.

I keep telling myself I need no more Cubs and then this comes up. :

Cub Cadet 1250 Lawn Tractor/Riding Mower - $350

Cub Cadet 1250 hydrostatic tractor with a 48" mower deck. Reliable and runs well. I had the motor professionally overhauled a couple of years ago because it had started burning oil. The seatcover is torn and its missing one plastic taillight cover... otherwise in great shape.

Should I?

I already have a 1250 but this one looks to be in great shape.

Yes - you need to buy it. Back-up mower or two mower plan is always good.

That's a great price too IMHO.

Looks real good and all there too. Plus headlights. It's amazing that anyone would go to get a new sheet metal tractor when they could get one like these for a quarter of the price. Good job in the way, again, you seem to be in quiet line land up there!

Yep... Must have been lots of people around here back then who could afford them. The population and subdivisions were really growing then too.

Looks like it has new tires on the back also. And the rebuilt engine is worth what they are asking.

Keep this 1250 since it is better than the one you have and sell the other 1250 or use it for a parts tractor.

I think i need to move to Virginia !!!

LOL, you have already figured out you can't have too many. Go get it. That is nice and you won't have to worry about the motor.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
