Default Anyone here ever dealt with Lymes Disease?

The reason I'm asking is because I have been fighting the symptoms of it for over 6 months. The doctor thinks I have had it for quite a while. Was having trouble with my feet and after going to foot doctor and neurologist it was determined I was having nerve problems. Did lots of test and confirmed nerve damage. Doctors wanted to do more blood test and after reading about Lymes I ask to be tested for it. Came back positive. Fewking neurologist didn't bother to look at the results for 2 months. When they did finally call I told them that I had called a couple of months earlier and asked if they had seen the results. The person in the records department said the results were in my file but not in their computer system. I asked that the results be placed on the doctor's desk and was told not to be telling them how to run their business. Meanwhile I had faxed the results to my doctor and he was really doing his best treating it. When the neurologist did finally call they were all sorry about not getting back to me. I told them my doctor was already doing their job. I'm not going back to them.

What I'm getting at is I would like to find out how long does it take for the treatments to start working? My case still seems to be getting worse. Creeping paralysis and loss of balance. There seems to be an awful lot of cases around here. Trying to get in to see another specialist that works with infectious diseases. I just want to find out as much about it as I can.

Like I mentioned earlier, our friend has it and has been dealing with it for years. Been for sure over five.
If you want, PM me and I'll pass onto him and he would be glad to talk to you about things he's been dealing with.
It's some nasty stuff, biggest trouble is most "Dr" don't understand anything about it.

lyme sucks. I have an exgirlfriend (still talk with her every now and then), she had it for years before it was correctly diagnosed. Her words to me about another friend going through your situation was: "If your doctor does not know lyme decease through and through, find one that does".
There have been some great advances in the past 5 years towards treating it...but not all doctors are up on the procedures or drugs used.
find a doc who is familiar with the decease and treatments, and you'll be fine.....but depending on the length of time it went unnoticed will determine whether you'll beat it and move on, or be on a daily or weekly or monthly regime of pills, and/or treatment.
So, chin up. and best wishes.

Thanks. I have been healthy all my life and will get through this. I evidently have had it for a long time with no symptoms until now. My doctor is up on it and I am happy with him.

I hope you over come, and treatment begins working correctly! Says in stage 3, it is still treatable but there will be lasting effects. Caused by the Deer Tick being hosted up to 36 hours for complete infection to be transmitted, thought some cases it has been a shorter time. Eastern Untied States have the most reported cases, like from West Pennsylvania boarder over east, eastern seaboard.

I'm not the suing type and anyway, they are just not good at what they do it seems. I haven't been harmed by their lack of compliance.

I will work out it the best I can. I got a couple more Dr's visits lined up and will go from there.

Thanks

Everybody should be checked. It is a serious problem that nobody seems to know about.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
