Hey,
I have an 1811 I just picked up and also have a 450 blower to put on it, they were purchased seperate and now I'm trying to mount them up. I have the blower mounted on the tractor but am unsure where the lift rod mounts to on the 1811? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Pete |

you need a bracket that bolts to the outside of the frame on the rockshaft looks like a long triangle so it pushes forward to lift the blower

It is the second item down under Snow Blower/ Push Blades. I have the exact same setup this year since I pulled the motor from the 2072. I don't think the bracket is absolutely necessary, it just reverses the direction of lift. Someone correct me if I am wrong. It just occurred to me, the float lockout pin may need to be installed if you don't have the bracket? I am going to hook mine up this weekend, and maybe placing my second order with Xtreme.

Note on extrememotorworks page: It doesn't "link" well, the provided link just takes you to the main page. You have to click on the tab on the left "snow blowers/push blades. (Shrewcub: good link, just wanted to explain it doesn't take you right to it.) Yes, the bracket is necessary. Just for clarification here is a pic of the bracket installed. Note: I have the blade on right now, not the blower, so disregard the lift rod. SBB1.jpgSBB2.jpg |

Thanks for the clarification, Jonathon!
I just went and looked at the 1811. It appears that the rod would hit the frame / side panel if it was hooked to the top of rockshaft arm.

Thanks for the help so far, yes it looks like if the rod will hit if attached on top of the rockshaft. Another issue I'm having is that the bracket I bought from the linked website, hits the bar on the underside of the frame that support the running boards. I've attached some pics. What am I missing? I know that the rockshaft height stop has been cut off but that shouldnt be a problem.

Flip it around, it goes on from the front. Look at my pics from above.

I saw the way you had it mounted, but the lift rod will hit the side panel of the tractor if it is mounted up high like that. My rod has a hole in it that will go on the bottom of the bracket with a cotter pin. What am I missing?

( Am I correct? ) {additional info } I think the lift rod goes underneath, not on top. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
