Default New toy - 1450 with #2 tiller

Picked this little gem up last night. The guy I bought it from pulled it out of his barn and couldn't get it to turn over or start. I drained the gas tank, cleaned the carb and now it runs like a sewing machine. I tilled the garden up with it today. It also came with an almost brand new 44" deck.

I have never seen a cub seat with the arm rests on it like this one. They look original. The right armrest is missing though. I thought they were pretty interesting

Not bad for $200.

You betcha!

I told the guy it was worth a lot more but he said he just wanted to get it out of his way.

He said he had 15 calls within the first few minutes of putting the ad up from people wanting to come pick it up the next morning. I told him I could come get it RIGHT NOW!!

It was about 2 hours away and I didn't get back home with it till midnight, but it was well worth it.

Candidate for steal of the year, and it's only February.

You stole a tiller and got a free tractor!

I believe those armrests are OEM, and fairly rare.

Wow that is awesome and in amazing shape. The armrest kit alone on flea bay is 100 bucks. All you need is some side panels and it looks to be 100 percent. Absolutely, deal of the year

Great job on the score! Props that your #2 still has the belt pulley guard. A 14 HP will handle that tiller easily.

That HAS to be the deal of the year...

Tiller or deck alone probably worth at least $200, AND you got a good 1450...

Some folks find all the great deals. I am very much green with envy, but NOT JD Greene... Ha ha

Seriously , congrats on such a great find.

Regards

Cubby Guy

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
