Default Fun in the sun with the big boy toys

Well we FINALLY had some good weather here and I got a call from the farmer I work for, said he needed a driver. I had to think long and hard about it but I said ok Ended up working 5:00pm to 1:45am Friday night and 8:00 to 8:00 Saturday, make for a long couple days. I had a bit of a rough time, the AC decided to take a fritz so I was running with the door open to keep cool. Called the boss and let him know, so it'll get fixed. Well, now the bad part; since there was no AC, I was running with the door open aanndddd, I had an accident. I was finishing up a couple end rows and an unsuspecting tree branch decided it didn't like the door, so it removed it I called the boss and being the laid back guy he is, he said "Well I guess you have air conditioning now!" Then the 2nd "break": the lift bar that goes between the wheels on the ripper broke. I didn't feel too bad about that, sh*t happens and from the look of the bar, it's broken several times before and been welded. Anyway, ugh, called the boss again. He said don't worry about it, it's a trade in so run it till it falls apart So, I ran all day Saturday with it like that. Good going all day, actually. Anywho, on to the pics and a couple videos I snapped for you guys, hope you enjoy!

Especially after the neighbor spreads manure on the field.

Ryan, neat videos and pics. Jamming to the country music, too!! Good thing the owner is pretty laid back.

Cool pics Ryan. Might try cleaning that grille to help with the cooling system. You did mention that the AC wasn't working, right? Sounds like you had some long, but fun days.

Farmer here in my neck of the woods, not even close to getting in the fields. Not only did we have record cold and snow, but the last two days an immense amount of rain with local Flood Warnings now in place. Looks like the Farmers will have a 3 week delay (or more) this year.

A-men to that! I think tilling in the Spring is my favorite job, most interactive, goes pretty quick, and best of all, that smell!

Of course, that's about all I listen to out there!

I agree about him being laid back. Many years ago when I first started working for him, he could get a little temper to him. I guess his doctor said high blood pressure + temper = bad for his health. Ever since then, and since he's gotten married, he's been a very laid back guy. It probably doesn't hurt that my family has been neighbors with him for 40 something years, kinda like a second father/son relationship with him.

Keeping that grill clean isn't as easy as it seems, gets covered up in pretty quick, especially with the wind blowing like it was. What you need to keep clean is the 3 radiators under it

Well, I called in this morning to find out what a new glass door will cost. Any guesses? If you guess right, you get to foot the bill!

I broke a rear window out of a tractor one summer when I was mowing..... Been a long time ago. My guess on the door, $650.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
