Well after a long winter I finally finished up my 44C deck. I changed the paint scheme up a little. Painted up the spindle, wheels, wheel mounts, IH red , and the rest cub cadet off white. Tofe the whole deck down cleaned and sandblasted it. Repacked all the bearings, and added front wheel brackets. It came out nice. It will look good on the 782. All that's left are the decals and finish up the mule drive.

Cool color scheme! Looks really nice, but now I feel guilty since all I did over the long winter was hibernate.

Thanks. And yea im going to hate the first mow. Lol.
I didn't actually take me all winter. I tore it apart this winter. I sandblasted it in march. Then started the spindles and painting of the red stuff. Last week Rescue11 welded up the front brackets for me and I put it all together today. |

What are you using for the white paint? That looks like a brighter white than what CC is selling at the dealers now.
I touched up a set of rims with the CC white & it just looks too almond-like to me, just doesn't seem to look as nice on the red Cubs.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
