Did't really give us any info. Was that: UPS? FedEx? USPS? Next day? Standard freight? Priority? How far away did it come from?? Was there a "handling" fee???????

I shipped something the other day UPS that probably weighed about the same as that hitch, but took a larger box. It was $24. So, just depends.

I'd say that E-Bay's "shipping estimator" is off. Or the guy didn't put in the correct info. I don't think I've ever had E-Bay or the seller charge more than what the shipping cost said, but I have had it to be less.

That will not fit in a large flat rate, it is too tall , BTDT.

It's 18.30 for me in NJ. USPS is pricey when your shipping some weight. UPS or FEDEX would probably be about 15 bucks.

I can ship Cub Cadet cast wheel weights anywhere in the US for about $15 but I shipped a NF 3 point about 1200 miles to Texas and it cost over $30 due to the box size, weight, and not fitting in a flat rate box.

I've seen nice parts for sale on FleaBay for a Buy It Now price that seems like a sweet deal--(ie. oil bath air cleaner for $15.00, but shipping is $50.00). I think that this is a strategy to lessen the taxes that they need to pay for their sale and make their money off of the shipping and so called handling.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
