Default Hydraulic lift seems weak
Long story short. I have a 147 that I've been using to mow and plow driveway. The lady decides she wants a garden, so I made a sleeve hitch for it and bought a plow/disc. The electric lift didn't seem to like continuously lifting the implements and I didn't want to break it, so I bought a 1650.
I put my disc on the back and put a couple cinder blocks on it, and it won't budge it. If I take them off, it picks up just fine. Am I asking too much out of this, or is something wrong? My electric lift picked it up fine with two blocks on it. Thanks in advance

I would be looking at the Hydraulic Fluid and Hydro Filter. If you don't know the condition of either, I would suggest draining the fluid, clean out the rear end, replace the filter, and install fresh fluid.

My 1811 was doing the same thing, I checked the lifting pressure and it was weak. So I took apart the hydraulic lift relief spring and installed a stronger one. Works so much better and my power steering is much easier.

What did that bump your pressure to? The system is only designed for a max of about 900 PSI.

My guess is he just "found" one. I think I'd just shim the old one if yours is low. Do it with a gauge, don't just guess. The SM tells you how to check pressure.

Ok, I'm just not sure where the relief spring is that he's talking about. I have a spare pump sitting on the workbench.
