I bought the wife a Hobart mixer 20 years ago, it had a worn out gray paint job, until her July birthday!!



A quick trip to the local hot rod paint shop, and;

Do not try that with a Kitchenaid!! This thing has a 3 speed transmission that looks like it would work in a GT!!

As for which speed, I'd go slower (1). I spent several years of my life working at a pizza restaurant where we had an exact replica of the mixer you have, except almost as tall as you or I Each batch of dough we'd make started with a 50lb bag of flour, plus all the other ingredients. Seeing as how pizza dough and bread dough are really not that different (we actually made bread out of pizza dough in a pinch), I'd do it at the same speed we did; lo gear. When you're doing dough, it's not about speed. Just my

That is awesome. My Kitchenaid starts to make all kinds of noises if I add more than 4 cups of flour. My dough also tends to stick to the hook and spin around making the whole process worthless. At that point I continue by hand. A Kitchenaid rep said when it sticks to the hook and spins around, it's done. Um, no it's not, I've been making bread since I was 7, I know what well kneaded dough looks like. Anyway, great looking machine.

We thought about those, but, we were afraid the splashed tomato sauce would be too hard to clean off of them!!
