Opinions please:
I have a couple tractors that will be made into 1. The first is a 784, yellow, with a Series II engine. Then second is a 782, red, no engine. Both are cast iron rear ends. At the end of it I will have dual hydraulics with aluminum rear end and the series II engine. I have either rear end to choose from so was just going to clean them up and use whichever one cleans up the nicest. Also I believe one of them has 1" spindles and the other 3/4" - I was just going to use the 1" spindles. The front grill is a little different on the red one, but otherwise I cant think of much difference. But: If I keep it yellow it keeps the frame and engine consistent with each other. If I use the red frame, its an older frame which would have originally had a series I, but Im transplanting the series II into it. Which would you choose? |

The bottom line: What color do you want it to be? That's all that matters...

82 series look awesome in RED.
Why use an aluminum rear, why not put the internals into a cast one while apart?

Internals should be the same between the two rears. Supers are the only ones different as far as I know

The only reason is, the two choices I have are both Aluminum.
