Default 102 restoration/puller

I went to look at a lawn mower a guy had for sale locally and after looking over his cub collection and talking with him he took me outback to another barn where this one sat. I brought it home quickly deciding it wasn't going to serve for lawn duties. Going to do a mild restoration compared to most on here and make it a puller. I have never had a cub cadet prior to this, nor have I ever had a garden tractor puller. Any advise is much appreciated. Going to have my younger brother in law pull it until my daughter is big enough. Hopefully by the time she's old enough we will have some experience and a good set up.

Hoping the pictures post, I'm never good at getting pictures uploaded.

Next step is ordering complete clutch set up wheelie bars and hitch.

Looking at ordering from zach Kerbers machine. Going to get the red spring 3 puck clutch? This will be a stock puller. Still haven't decided how much motor work will be done right away but want a clutch to be able to work as I do more motor work. Would this be a good choice?

That clutch is capable of stopping a 40hp engine. It would be good for many up grades. If it were me depending on how old your driver is I would get the blue spring for now and you can always swap it to a red spring latter. You can't go wrong with Zach Kerber parts though.

Driver is 11. My daughter is 16 months I bought this to redo for her while my wife was pregnant. I had a street stock pulling truck and figured I needed a tractor to go with it. I jumped the gun a bit. I will probably be redoing a cart and put seats and seat belts in it for her to ride in around the family farm. I guess I can get that clutch set up and just buy a blue spring and swap it and keep red for later.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
