Default What model snow blower fits a 882?

I have been thinking of getting a snowblower. I was wondering what snow blower fits a 882? Preferably a 2 stage blower. Thank You.

Either a 190-364 or 190-450.

AKA: the "450" 2-stage snowblower. One is an IH design, one is a CCC design.

By all rights, a QA42A and an H42/48 (Haban) will also work. Both are single stage throwers.

The 450 is more popular and most likely will be easier to find.

FWIW: I have never seen a 190-364. They must not have made many.

Thank you for the information. Are there any extra pieces needed to make it work that I need to install one? What is an average price for a 450?

They are a 45" two stage. IIRC - short production run and seldom seen.

No extra pieces. Unless the one you find isn't complete. Sometimes, people sell them without the lift rod, or the bracket that attaches to the tractor. But, there is aftermarket and used available for those pieces.

I hate price questions......

From what I've seen, an average price is around $300-$350. Over-priced units are everywhere, but you can find them in good shape under $300, you just have to be patient.

Thanks for the info. I will be keeping an eye out for a reasonably priced 450. I don't really need one because I have a 646 front end loader and a 446 with a plow on it but it can't hurt to have another backup machine when needed. Its really just an excuse to get my Cubs out in the winter. I'm sure my 882 diesel with all it's torque would do great running the 450 blower. Next would be a small snow plow for my daughters Original so I can get her out plowing the smaller sidewalks.

Today I came across a 551 blower that I am told will fit. It's in nice condition but he is asking $750. It's a monster! It looks like it will throw some serious amounts of snow. It has a new wear bar, shoes and cables for the chute. It looks like it's the newer version of the 450. The price does seem to be on the high side that's for sure.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
