What is the difference between 1864 axel and 1811.
I didn't want to highjack somebody else's 1864 thread. So I'll ask here. What is the difference between a 1864 front axel and 1811.

The axle forging itself is different. It raises the front end of the tractor and allows not only for the larger PTO mule drive pullies, it also allows for tire clearance for the 54" mower decks. Maybe the 48" too.
The steering arms are different in that there is an extra hole punched for PS. The spindles? I don't know if they are the same or not as the front wheels tend to lay over a little in a turn and allow a sharper turning radius for some reason. That feature may me part of the axle design in king pin inclination. Don't know. I just know that front axle improves the tractor overall in handling and utility.
