Question brinly hitch
Hello
I have a novice question about the brinly hitch. What are the 2 bolts next to the conecting pin used for? I see that all the brinly hitches have the for the older cubs,but have no clue what they are for.I would like to order 1 for my 129 so i can use a plow and disk harrow,insted of my old walk behind tiller.But I dont want to just hook something up and not know whats its for.

You use those bolts to adjust the sway(side to side movement) of the implement. It helps the implement to track straight.

Brinley set up of mold board 8-12" plows; page 6,1st paragraph, Remove stabillizer bolts & nuts from sleve hitch. the plow must be free to move side to side on hitch.

Third paragraph, tracking adjustment, explains how to set tracking.
I'm no expert but is this document, correct or is their an other super seeding this?

While we are on the subject, what is the purpose of the plate with the hole in it? I believe it's called an alignment plate. I notice allot of the used sleeve hitch adapters don't come with this.

You may get by in some places not using stablizer bolts and nuts. I've tried in the past to not use the bolts and nuts......I'm still using them in 40 plus years of plowing with a Cub Cadet.
