Here are a few pics of how my 450 was on a 1811 you do need the part that allows it to push from below the fender pan rather than pull from above.I don't know for sure but because it was on a Super I would think it may not lift very high on a 782.I'm sure someone with better pics and/or part numbers will chime in.

If it was on a SGT, it will have some extension pieces on the front mount that will have to be removed so it will work on your GT. Look in the parts book, it shows them.

You will also need shorter lift links as the super ones are longer.

Oh ya, I forgot about that. I believe that you could drill a new hole in the longer ones and be ok.

Guys, pretty sure on the 450 blower you just add the extra brackets for use on a SGT. No other parts change. Parts book shows only one part number for the lifting links. I think your thinking of the 451....

J-Mech I am pretty sure the only difference between the 450/451 is the ratio of the gearbox.

The 450 manual says to use the top hole for SGT and the slotted hole for GT. I have seen some without the top hole though. Example in this thread (EDIT: And the above part explosion Jon posted): http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...9&postcount=25

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
