I searched eBay and stuff yesterday looking for crimp on hose ends. The local Napa was $9 bucks a piece and ebay was like $65 for 24 of them. I found this place called www.discounthydraulichose.com found the fittings for 2 bucks a piece and some other stuff tube nuts and sleeves for $.50 cents a pair. We use this stuff when putting power steering and such on our tractors. You guys doing odd stuff might want to check them out.

That's all good..... but if you don't have the machine to crimp them it isn't going to do you much good. Unless you are planning to take them to your local NAPA and have them install them for you..... My local NAPA would be pissed that you didn't buy off them and charge you to crimp them, thus ending up paying the same amount in the end. If you are supplying the parts, most anywhere is going to charge you to crimp them. If I sold hydraulic hose and you did that to me, I would charge.... Not jumping you, that's just my
FWIW, O'Reilly's also makes hoses, and so do all tractor dealers. When paying for hydraulic hoses.... they just cost money. Some places are cheaper than others, but watch the quality. NAPA uses Weatherhead, and O'Reilly's uses Gates. At the farm dealers it's a toss up, as it could be either. You can buy a crimping machine that you clamp in a vice and use an impact gun to do the work. They aren't cheap, but they do work. |

i was more so trying to give you guys a heads up on the tube nuts and sleeves i just happen to have a friend who has the crimper so it will only cost me some beers which is a good thing for me and him. but yup your rite on the crimping thing if reuseable were a little bit cheaper i would use them.. they also have all different kinds of adaptors to go from npt to just about everything else. i bought a whole barrel full of premade hydraulic hoses for 40 bucks but they are too long thats why i needed the ends and all this stuff is JIC my loader was all NPT so i needed adaptors even with buying adaptors and fittings i saved a bunch over all new again their prices seemed very reasonable and we are all about getting stuff on the cheap rite?

Oh, yes! 100% agree! Like I said, and I will restate, I wasn't criticizing by any means. I should have thanked you for the link, they have many fittings that can be used! So, I'll back up, shut up, and just say thanks! Being a business owner, sometimes I take that approach first without thinking from the consumer/customer angle. Thanks again for the link!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
