Default Carb ID
Hello everyone.
I know Kohler used different carbs on their engines. This is a 1450.
I want to make sure I purchase the correct carb rebuild kit for it.
So.... Can anyone tell me by looking at it what brand and model it is?
I hope the pictures are good enough for ID.

Looks like a Kohler/Carter Carb to me.

First of all, with the air cleaner off, you should be able to easily see the numbers on the carb yourself.
Second, all the K series carbs take the same kit.

Perhaps a better question would have been "Where do I find the numbers?"

If you look into the bore of the carb just above the choke plate there should be a raised number. Most likely a #26. That is the model of the carb. If you need the actual numbers, they are stamped into the the rear mounting flange. Looking at the carb on the engine just like you have it, you would find them on the top right hand side of the rear flange. On the left hand side just above the bowl, there will be another set of raised numbers. Should start with a "C". But, like I said, all the K series carbs take the same kit, so what your exact numbers are, really doesn't matter.

Yeah, except on a 1450 it will be a #30.
