Default Wrecks on I80 in Wyoming

My Cousin sent this to me, he lives in the area. Glad I wasn't in this mess.

Man, that would just be horrible. Was your cousin the one that was also filming?

A friend of my wife and I posted some pics of this on Facebook, awful accidents. I went to cheyanne one time in January. Saw three diffrent seasons going through Nebraska! At one point the highway was closed for 2hrs because of snow and ice. Prayers to all involved!

I hunt in the Casper area and it has not been uncommon to encounter closed interstates highways. They have gates at ramps.

I am amazed. For the traffic conditions and the poor visibility, why those drivers were driving that fast. Simply amazing.......

I'm with you and I am also amazed at why someone would stand there video taping/recording an accident rather than run up on the side of the road to either help people involved or run ahead of the accident on the side of the road and forewarn other drivers from the side of the road. Locally, last week, we had an elderly woman with dementia walking out in the middle of a busy highway and no one but one person would stop to assist her, who happened to have worked in nursing homes and quickly recognized the situation. I just do not understand what goes through some people's mind at those times......hmmmm, get a video of what is going on or start saving people in an accident, .....must be a tough choice for some people.

How far would you need to be off the road, to be safe, & still be able to warn the oncoming drivers? At those speeds and those conditions? It would be about impossible I'd think. We had a wreck just down the road from my house a couple years back, (maybe 1/4 mile) my house/driveway is at the crest of a small hill, I stood out waving at cars to slow down (45mph zone here) and we still had several near misses, 2 cars off the road (like a banzai blast through the ditch at full speed, not a little skid into the shoulder), almost a truck/camper jacknife, 1 guy lost control, skidded through the oncoming lane, up into the opposite ditch & then regained control, and 1 guy nearly crashed into a fire truck. I finally convinced the officer on traffic control to come over to the opposite side of my drive to give the rescue crews some safety. This was like 4 in the afternoon, sunny, and dry, in June.

Sometimes even if you try to warn people they aren't going to notice you anyway.

Maybe, but it is like the man on the seashore picking up starfish and tossing them back out to sea. When asked why, you cannot possibly save them all and make a difference. Upon hearing this, he reached down and grabbed another, then tossed it out to sea and responded, "There, made a difference to that one."

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
