Default Tilling with the Bota
Got the tiller hooked on the Kubota today and did some tilling around the field. I usually do this before the farmer we rent to comes in to work the fields so they don't have to get so close to the lawn with their big equipment, and dig the lawn all to crap.

Looks like a sweet set up!
Do you till the neighbors around you? My dad has a IH 265 that he tills all the neighbors. You can take the boy off the farm.....

Nice Todd!

The guys I farm with farm around my house.... but I still do just what you did, otherwise it seems that the field keeps getting closer to the house! I pushed it back about 3' last year, and may do that again this year.

Yep, same think here. They are seeding it down this year, so I wanted it extra smooth without all the clumps from the disc. Then we can mow right up to the alfalfa...
Could of used the 125 with tiller, but needed this on anyway to get started down in the woods

I wish I had soil like you do. I feel for my poor little tiller on my 149 every time it finds a rock. Keep thinking about buying a tiller for my BX but I figure it's cheaper to use the Cub than destroy the BX trying to till a rock garden or maybe its a quarry.

Sam it sounds like your soil is about the same as mine. Topsoil when you find it is between the stones. I have a troybilt tiller and it beats me as much as I beat it when tilling.

Very nice setup Todd!

The farmers around my parent's house did the same thing too - take an extra foot or two of their yard every year... until they got up to the trees. He's ok with it because he has to mow less now.
