Hi
The clutch on my Cub Cadet 102 is pretty worn and I'm busy replacing it. Very hard to find parts where I am living, so I've had a local aluminium supplier cut me a slice of aluminium cylinder which I will shape and use for clutch plate. I've already made a duplicate of the clutch lever, but after surfing the web it would appear that the previous owner turned the lever around as all other cub photos I see the release bearing gets pushed in by the other side of the clutch lever. Does anyone know if this is normal? |

First, welcome to OCC............ ![]() Glad to see you here. As far as parts, there are several places here in the States that ship parts Internationally. As far as the clutch goes, the 102 has two. The PTO Clutch and the Driveline Clutch. We assume you are referencing the Driveline clutch. Pictures of your situation would be most helpful. We have an array of members that will chime in and help you with all your maintenance or repairs needs. ![]()

Thank you, the site has been very helpful so far. I have the normal 10HP Kohler motor and everything very standard. Such a well engineered little machine I might add. Please find photo attached.

Think what might have happended here is that they used a larger release bearing and it did not fit in between clutch lever, hence them turning it around.

That is definitely the wrong bearing. The little triangle piece welded to the lever is not original either.
