Default The big mower is back

Dug the monster out of storage today, stuck a couple batteries in the Swishers, aired up the tires greased everything sharpened the nine blades and cut grass fast. At the moment I no longer have a Super to cut with. 2182 #1 will be moving to GA in the near future.

Isn't it true if a Sam loses all his Supers he ceases to be a Mod?

Seriously though, you're getting rid of your other Super?! Why!!

If I was you and had to use that set up to cut the grass in a reasonable timeframe, I would instead invest in dual sickles and a haybaler!

One of our members offered me what I was asking for it so away it goes. we have been talking about doing a deal for a while and it finally came together. Tractor is an awesome machine but I enjoy fixing them more than using them. Yeah I know I'm not right. When it comes to cutting grass or plowing snow I just want to get it over with, I'm just not a big seat time person. The BX has a cup holder, rides better over my crappy lawn and it has foot controls.

If you enjoy working on em so much and are ever out this way, I'm sure I can find something for you to do

I get it, though. I love working on them as well but there's something about driving/mowing with a machine you had down to pieces that is just a bit more satisfying to me than wrenching on em. I love the story of my 2284: wouldn't go in reverse, missing one spring and two end stoppers on the trunnion so it was a jerky all or nothing, ran like crap and only with the choke, covered in years of @#*($, and more I'm forgetting. Now it fires right up and does everything I ask of it and more. I'm sure I've told that story on here before so I'll digress

Yep and after they work as they should I get bored. Time to move on to a new project. Back to C-list for a new project.

I should move closer to you. I could mow your grass and you could fix the machine when it craps out.

Hope it will be a long time before the Broke & Scattered's take a dump. They only have about 50 hours on them and they have been well maintained since I bought them new.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
