Default Hy Trans Oil

Every one says use CC brand oil but is there anything else i can get at NAPA or Autozone? I dont have a nearby dealer unless Tractor Suppily or HD carries the CC oil.

Ok, I'm sure I'll hear about this. But I use Hyken 052, a Kendal product.

Well, they are your tractors and you can put yesterday's old cold coffee in them if you desire...but nothing has the moisture/water suspension and metal chemistry compatability that HyTran (from Case/IH) or Hydraulic Transmission Fluid (from Cub Cadet) has. Both are the exact same stuff from Viscosity Oil Company. I and others strongly recommend you use the IH and CCC recommended fluids in all Cub Cadets!!!

If you need to, I believe you can order it from Carter and Gruenwald. Just google them and you'll find them.

Don't forget you can get Hytran at Case equipment dealers, too. I don't have CIH dealership anywhere near me, but there's a Case dealer about 5 miles from me.

Ways of learning...

Some people learn by reading

Some people learn by observing.

And some people just have to pee on the electric fence to find out for themselves.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
