I'm rebuilding my 1978 1000 and want to replace the iso-mounts with the solid spools. A couple of months ago I called Brian M at A1-Performance and ordered the mounts plus a solid clutch driver disk, and at the time he said he'd ship them by the end of that week. After at least two months I've never received the parts, and furthermore I've tried calling him back numerous times and can't get anyone to answer the phone! (In all honesty I'm pretty sure he hasn't charged my credit card, so no complaints there, but I'd really like to have the parts.) I don't know what's up!
I have another few days of vacation at the end of July and would like to finish the project then. I thought I heard on this forum that there is someone else who is making and selling the solid mounts. Can someone pass along his contact information? Thanks. |

Jeff in PA made a set for me, good quality, good price, and had them in a few days.

Buy from Jeff with confidence, he's a good guy that sells great products. The other guy you mention, well lets just say nobody here will buy from him.

Call your credit card company and have them put a block on the Brian M sale.

I have been reading Brian M's website. What is the deal? Seems like a knowledgeable guy. What other bad experiences have people on here had?
Edit: Never mind. I found what it was about him.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
