Default Haban Blade

Since I was dumb and sold my last Super with all the attachments I have had an eye out for a front blade. This one popped up close by and a deal was made. Not in bad shape, but has been sitting awhile outside I have it broken down for a quicky clean up.Thought i would post up a few pics.First thing I did when I got home was hook up the hydraulic lines to the tractor and the cylinder works fine.

Nice find on the blade. It looks in great shape. I found one this spring and too I'm getting it ready to mount it on my super. It is the later version and mounts a little different . If I could ask ,mine is missing the trip springs and I need to have them made, would you measure the overall length and diameter and also the coil wire diameter. I saw one painted white that looked good are you going to paint yours ?
Thanks Dave

Here are the measurements of the springs from a 1991 and later blade. The total length measurement shown is inside to inside and is 9.375 inches. The coil width is 1.509 inches. The wire thickness is .186 inches.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
