I have a cub 2145 that starts and runs fine when cold. But after mowing for 45 min to an hour, if you turn off engine it will crank, but not start. After checking several possible causes I noticed that there is no spark at the spark plug. Anyone know what might be the cause?

the magneto is bad, i just replaced the one on my neighbors 2135. it was about $60

I'm with olds 100%
You can try reducing the plug gap to 10-15 thousands and it might start hot till you get your new mag. |

Best as I can see....the 2135 had a Kohler engine while the 2145 had a Onan engine. Looks like the 166-0832 Ignition Coil is a tad bit more.

Thanks for the advise guys. And yes the 2145 has the Onan engine. I'll let you know how it works out.

Looks like $10 more for the ignition coil on the onan than the Kohler.
