I had to put new blades on the deck so I cleaned it up and greased it good. Mows good but smokes going from WOT to idel. Also the rearend is leaking some fluid. Probably 1/2 dollar size spot over a day. The side cover that is missing I have but it's flat because it got run over by a truck.
Now for the snowblower. It looks like some was trying to plow trees with it. The wear bar on the bottom and the houseing is roughed up bad. Bent back with cracks/tears at the supports. Also the guy lost the male part of the drive shaft. It is rough but save able with some work. Cab is in good shape. Hour meter says 570 but the more I dig into it iam thinking it may have 1570 hours Only have $200 into it so I think iam doing well. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
