Gentlemen,
I am looking for a cub in the number range of 125308-127591 (I assume that is correct for one made in Sept 1965) I would guess I'm looking for a 70 or a 100? Maybe a 1x2? I would like one with the same birthday as me as we would both be 50 this year. That's a pretty small window and probably will have to settle for one made in 1965 Just wondering what models were built during that time Thanks

Cub Cadets produce in September of 1965 started with serial number 127591 and end with serial number 129315.
Last production serial number for the 70/100s was serial number 127160. First 71/102/122 serial number is serial number 127161. The 70/100s finish production in August of 1965. Looks like you need to find a 71-102-122 with a serial number 127591 to 129315 range. My information came from charts provided by Paul Bell. Thanks Paul Bell for info.

Thanks for the correction. I read the chart here as the number with the month is the last one but it's actually the first one made in that month.
Thanks for the info

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
