Default PTO?? I Don't Need No Stinking PTO!!

Besides the PTO, It doesn't look like you get much of a steering wheel,,,, either??

https://roanoke.craigslist.org/grd/5187482339.html

Can you start a 108 without disengaging the mower??

Somebody needs to rescue this,,, and sort it out,,, and tell us the facts!!

If they replaced the PTO with a regular pulley to drive the deck its will still start, my 108 doesn't have a PTO safety switch and last year at the fair some little kid must have turned it on and when I went to pick it up I didn't notice and the tractor started with the deck on. I really hate the fact that people have to touch stuff that's on display.

I thought Betsy and I were the only ones goofy enough to go pick up Cubs or Cub related stuff and "vacation" along the way.

But it has the mystery-cables-from-under-the-seat option.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
