Default 42in deck grass deflector question

All the grass deflectors underneath are GONE? would like to replace them with some sheetmetal suggestions on thickness. Could someone please let me know the height of deflector. The length and curve I think I can tell where they were before. thanks

If money's no object ihccw has one. Look under mower parts, down towards the bottom of the page. I found this after i had already made one. I made mine out of 2"x1/8" flat bar.

Since you make NO mention of the model of your deck, most of the baffles are replaceable. Just order them from your local dealer or the sponsors listed at the top of the page.

Thanks for posting that pic and that info for my 42in deck. A pic is worth a thousand words. For 82.00 Im glad its not green I know Ill be fabricating my own, some things are dealer only and well worth the money, but that "baffle" is not worth that kind of coinage.

YES, those baffles can be custom fabricated. I have to agree, $~$82.00 is a lot for some formed steel bands.

Measure the distance between the Deck Lid and the Bottom Edge and that is the width. Allow about 1/2" from the outer tip of the blade and that is the circumference. I believe the baffles were held in place by small "L" brackets welded to the baffle then bolted to the deck lid.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
