I'm trying to remove the hydraulic lift lever on my 1450. The arm going to the valve has no pin in it, so it's just kind of flopping on the lever. I can't see any kind of pins in the lever, or retaining rings or fasteners at all, but it won't slide out. Looks like the only thing that holds it in is the pin through the valve crank arm, which is missing. It slides about 1/4" in the crank, but won't come out. Is there some retaining device on the lift lever? Also want to disconnect it from the valve. What is the secret to removing the chain link device on that?

Thanks Ryan. I did see that pic and looked for that ring, but I must be blind. The bushing (8) is in the tower, and the arm (4) floats freely on the lever. I've slid it both east and west looking for that ring. Maybe just got to get my head back in there and get a better look...

I've tried lateral-longitudinal,x-y,roll-pitch-yaw,axial-radial,sidewards-frontwards, to-and-fro, BFH and SFH (didn't want to break it!)
Maybe I'll just check for the clip...

I can't remember but doesn't the lever (#4) have a pinch bolts on it? Looks like that's what it shows in the parts description.

Not on mine. The arm has a bushing on it that's drilled for a pin. The lever is also drilled. I guess my pin has broken off, but not so much that i can't operate the valve. It's just very loose, and I kind of want to swap the lift lever to the left side to separate it from the hydro lever....kind of a one handed shadow boxing match working both on one side.
Looking at the arm, it seems to be counterbored. There may be a retaining ring down in the bore, but I can't see any ends to release, and probably couldn't pry them out of the bore if there were. I got the chain link off the valve, and I can slide the lever, but the arm is still pretty attached to the lever. Does anyone know if that's a ring down in there? If so, how does it come out?

On my 1450, there is a roll pin that secures the lever to the arm... Also, the diagram looks like one for a 149, so... yea.

I've looked up parts diagrams on several sites, and that's the 1450 diagram I get too. The bushing in the pic is clear on the right side of the tower, just inside the wall. On the diagram, it looks like it's on the lever arm, with a retaining ring on the other side of the arm. Strange? I'll get some pics of mine tomorrow. Anyone got any pics of theirs?
