What size tires are on it now?
How many lug bolts/studs on the axle? What is the bolt circle diameter?
What is the back space of the wheel; distance from the mounting surface to the back edge of the rim?
What is the wheel offset; distance from the mounting surface to the center line of the wheel? This can be either a positive or negative value.
Does the trailer have fenders? If not, do you plan on adding them? The tires have to fit under the fenders.

Just a few of the things you must find out to get an answer to your question.

take the old tire to the dealer and they should be able to match something up for you.

Not sure what's confusing. He states it's a 4x6 trailer.

I agree with olds on this one. Take one of the tires to your nearest tire store and they should be able to find a match or an updated version of it.

5 lug? Measure center to center on 2 closes lugs and go to a trailer shop and tell them they can tell what you have from that spacing. But back then it could be 5x4.5 or 5x4 3/4 or 5x5 inch spacing. Unless you have a vw axle which I doubt.
I have a gauge at home but that wont do you any good.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
